Dolgan ethnographic formation process is going on. This is nothing special. However, in North Asian minorities this process is constantly reinforced by mainstream populations like Russians and Sakha. This can mean that language and the negotiation of "Dolgan" identities might be constantly changing at more than one location. So maybe there is or was more than different tongue called "Dolgan". |
