new contents (old contents for staff only): originally, I intended to comment on Korean mtDNA hg profiles according to Lee et al. 2006 and Kim et al. 2008 (title: "Korean mtDNA profiles"). But addressing the major Korean mtDNA hgs at first might make more sense. In this context the more recent paper by Park et al. from 2017 will be the first reference point. Park et al. did not only review older studies but also commented on in-depth information on the major Korean clades... A5a: primarily A5a1a (13/20=65%) B4a: primarily B4a1c1a (10/16=62,5%) D4a: primarily D4a1 (27/40=67,5%) D4b1(a1) (n=6): possibly already mentioned elsewhere D5b(1b) (n=3): still to be reviewed in more detail F1b1: primarily F1b1a1 (11/16=68,75%) but rather heterogenous (could be Han, Manchu and/or inland North Asian) G1a1 (n=19): obviously NE Asian/northern East Asia M7a1 (n=9): planned to be mentioned in a separate thread M7b1a1 (n=10): planned to be mentioned in a separate thread N9a2a: N9a2a(xN9a2a2) in 10 of 11 cases Y1: Y1(xY1a, Y1b1) in 9 of 12 cases Source: Park Sohyung et al. 2017: "Entire Mitochondrial DNA Sequencing on Massively Parallel Sequencing for the Korean Population"; doi: 10.3346/ jkms.2017.32.4.587 |
