1) Y hg distributions in certain northern Han populations (Hebei Shijiazhuang, Shandong Jinan, Shaanxi, Henan) seem to accord to one distinst pattern: high frequencies of M134, low frequencies of M130 (M217). 2) Original Sinitic haplogroup distribution might have been similar to Tibeto-Burmese one in regard of a high M134+ frequency. However, in Tibeto-Burmese M117- might have lost importance, while originally non-ST(?) hg D might have gained importance. 3) Outside of Dongbei hg C-M217 could have been introduced to some northern Han populations (Gansu Han, Neimeng Han and Zhong's Shanxi Han) as well as to Wen's Qinghai Tibetans by former Turkic neighbours. (Think of the populations of the Hexi corridor.) 4) Some Dongbei Han populations (Zhong's Liaoning Han) might have absorbed Manchu-Tungus, as JCA speculated at http://s6.zetaboards.com/man/single/?p=8021615&t=8648865 . Thread: http://s6.zetaboards.com/man/topic/8648865/1 . 5) M134 and M217 frequencies in Koreans are comparable to those in some northern Han. As far as I remember, we used to favour M134 for ST background but M217 for non-ST background. How about both markers having ancient ST and non-ST versions? |
