EDIT: Wait, mistake again... O3b is M164, which is included in Shi as O3a2.

"O3a" of isogg never appeared in any study. Shi et al. had labeled it "O3b". But the marker for this haplogroup was never again tested for any public study, probably because it's too far upstream.

Yes, it seems that Shi did not find M324 independent as a branch. All O3s seem to have it. Thus, it should be a second marker of O3*, just like M122. There is no new "O3a..." Yes, you're right. The old phylogeny of O3a-O3d (and now O3a6 and 7 should be O3e-f) should be kept.
