I've found that fitting the genetic model with the anthropological, archaeological evidence turns out to be more accurate over time. One example about archaeology being more stable over time is the R1b case. People and researchers used to say R1b is Paleolithic European. But I was saying since 2005 that R1b is Indo-European (witch drove a famous Basque blogger Maju crazy and he used to write pages and pages condemning me), because it matched the distribution of Eastern Bell Beaker. Well, years later the archaeology prevailed as R1b phylogeny was clarified and Yamnaya samples tested.
